Scottish Water is seeking a pro-active and self-motivated individual to join our Capital Services Team as a Project Manager. You will manage Building Upgrades, Refurbishments, property remedial works, Demolition, and oversee robust project governance.

What you’ll do

  1. Work on design feasibility in collaboration with internal teams, consultants, or contractors.
  2. Create sketch proposals as part of feasibility studies.
  3. Manage contractors on active construction sites.
  4. Travel to various locations in Scotland to oversee projects such as office refurbishments, car park resurfacing, demolitions, new builds, depot store upgrades, and welfare facility improvements.
  5. Review statutory reports (e.g., fire risk assessments, building condition surveys) and implement necessary upgrades or remedial work.
  6. Contribute to the creation, review, and awarding of contracts.

What you’ll need

We’re looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager with:

  • A degree (or equivalent experience) and solid working knowledge of building services, including the RIBA stages of construction.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Project; AutoCAD skills are essential.
  • An applied understanding of construction health and safety (NEBOSH certification is a plus but not required).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • A full, clean driving license and good grasp of building regulations.
  • Experience managing contractors safely is preferred.
