Scottish Water is seeking a pro-active and self-motivated individual to join our Capital Services Team as a Project Manager. You will manage Building Upgrades, Refurbishments, property remedial works, Demolition, and oversee robust project governance.
What you’ll do
- Work on design feasibility in collaboration with internal teams, consultants, or contractors.
- Create sketch proposals as part of feasibility studies.
- Manage contractors on active construction sites.
- Travel to various locations in Scotland to oversee projects such as office refurbishments, car park resurfacing, demolitions, new builds, depot store upgrades, and welfare facility improvements.
- Review statutory reports (e.g., fire risk assessments, building condition surveys) and implement necessary upgrades or remedial work.
- Contribute to the creation, review, and awarding of contracts.
What you’ll need
We’re looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager with:
- A degree (or equivalent experience) and solid working knowledge of building services, including the RIBA stages of construction.
- Fluency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Project; AutoCAD skills are essential.
- An applied understanding of construction health and safety (NEBOSH certification is a plus but not required).
- Strong communication skills.
- A full, clean driving license and good grasp of building regulations.
- Experience managing contractors safely is preferred.
