Overview

Network Service Operator – Leakage, covering Tayside East, Perth Area, Fife Area, Dundee City, and Tayside West. You’ll be part of the team working to monitor and maintain the water network, manage leakage and pressure, and help keep water flowing reliably and efficiently. This role is focused on protecting our vital water supply and meeting regulatory targets, with safety, innovation, and best practice at the heart of all we do.

Locations: Tayside East (Geog); Perth Area (Geog); Fife Area (Geog); Dundee City (Geog); Tayside West (Geog).

What you’ll do

  • Maintain District Metered Area (DMA) meters and equipment and ensure everything is working properly.
  • Carry out leakage surveys and sweeps to monitor the network’s health.
  • Isolate and re-commission parts of the distribution network and conduct step testing to identify issues.
  • Install, monitor, calibrate and repair leakage detection equipment, including loggers and meters.
  • Collect and interpret data from sources such as Nightline data and DMA reports to spot potential leaks early.
  • Set up, programme and deploy data-logging devices to support leakage detection work.
  • Occasionally participate in sampling as required.
