We’re looking for a Performance Analyst to join our Business Support & Improvement Team within the Customer Service Delivery (CSD), to produce reports and business improvement solutions to both operational and management teams.

What you’ll do:

  • You’ll be working in the Business Support & Improvement Team within the Customer Service Delivery (CSD) Directorate responsible for producing reports and business improvement solutions.
  • You will meet with stakeholders to gather new reporting and/or business improvement requirements and use your exceptional analytical skills to create reports/solutions, providing insights by interpreting data, identifying trends, and drawing meaningful conclusions from various datasets.
  • You will be talented in telling compelling stories through inspiring visualisations and providing insights to enable decision making e.g. KPI performance reporting.
  • You will review existing reports and propose new solutions where potential improvements are identified.
  • You will work with other teams across Scottish Water to share knowledge, skills, best practice and ensure compliance with Scottish Water policies & guidance.
  • You will provide support development and coaching to junior analysts within the team.

What you’ll bring:

  • An excellent track record working as a Data Analyst, Performance Analyst, Business Data Analyst or Business Improvement Analyst.
  • Excellent skills in Power BI (Power Query, Dataflows, Data Modelling, Row Level Security).
  • An understanding of database systems and tools like Power Query / DAX / SQL / Python.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, methodologies, and tools.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 suite including Power BI, Excel, and the wider MS Power Platform.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • An understanding of data quality and testing methods.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
