Digital Learning Specialist
Join Scottish Water’s Learning Team and take a leading role in helping our people to develop the knowledge, skills and talents they need to succeed by delivering end-to-end digital eLearning solutions.
What you’ll do
Our Learning team works collaboratively with leaders, employees and project teams across our business, helping them to design and implement bespoke and blended digital learning solutions.
As a digital learning specialist, you will help to shape, create and enable our digital learning environment. Our ambition is to facilitate an engaging and impactful digital learning experience for our employees and other stakeholders.
You’ll be conducting learning needs analysis, defining requirements, designing and developing impactful solutions and evaluating products.
You will also manage the digital content library on the Scottish Water LMSs.
What you’ll need
The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience of designing, building and implementing eLearning content and hands-on experience of content authoring using tools like Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro), Articulate 360 (Rise and Storyline) and Vyond.
A strong grasp of video editing and post-production is desirable, along with working knowledge of HTML and JavaScript. Familiarity with Learning Management Systems, particularly Cornerstone and Moodle, and a solid understanding of LMS standards for tracking and reporting are key.
To be successful you will have demonstrated your ability to work with a diverse and broad range of internal and external stakeholders, implementing, project-managing and delivering digital learning solutions end-to-end.
Experience in supplier management and evaluating learning impact is also important, as is the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
We’re looking for a creative problem-solver who’s passionate about digital learning and eager to explore the transformative potential of AI in education. You should be tech-savvy, confident in communicating complex ideas, and skilled at turning them into engaging learning experiences.
The not-so-small print
This role can be based anywhere the central belt of Scotland. The whole team aim to get together in person each week, but otherwise work a hybrid approach.
This is a full time role, working 35hrs a week, Monday to Friday.

The not-so-small print
This role will be a Grade 7. If you’re new to Scottish Water, you’ll join us on a starting salary of £44,030. Performance-driven pay progression would then allow you to move through the range to a maximum of £55,000.
