Together we are Trusted to Serve Scotland. You’ll be part of our Wholesale Billing Team, working part‑time on a fixed‑term contract or secondment up to 12 months. The role is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact while balancing other commitments, and to contribute to a vital service.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain precise and efficient billing processes with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Prepare and issue invoices to Licensed Providers within strict monthly deadlines.
  • Investigate disputes and collaborate with various Scottish Water teams to resolve them.
  • Handle queries via phone and email, ensuring effective communication.
  • Review and streamline processes and procedures to ensure efficiency, standardisation, and compliance with Scottish Water’s policies and controls.

Qualifications

  • Effective communication skills and a strong background in customer service.
  • Ability to manage complex situations and solve problems analytically.
  • Strong organisational skills, keen eye for detail, and ability to prioritise work flexibly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard IT packages; willingness to learn new systems.

  • Grade 5 starting salary of £33,951 (pro‑rata), with potential progression to £39,911 (pro‑rata) based on performance.
