We’re looking for a motivated and adaptable Business Analyst to join the Water Byelaws Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead continuous improvement and support service excellence for both internal and external customers.
What You’ll Do
- You’ll analyse processes from start to finish and create clear, practical maps and procedures.
- Work closely with colleagues and stakeholders to spot opportunities for improvement and make things better.
- Gather business requirements and support the delivery of exciting improvement initiatives.
- Manage data needs, carry out analysis, create performance dashboards and management reports that keep everyone informed and on track.
What You’ll Need
- You can communicate clearly and adapt your style to suit different audiences.
- You’re self-motivated, curious, analytical and always eager to learn.
- You work well on your own and as part of a team, and you have a real passion for driving continuous improvement.
- Experience in business analysis, data interpretation and process improvement is a bonus – but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box. We’ll provide training and development opportunities to help you grow.
Looking out for you
This is a full-time role (35 hours per week) and you’ll get plenty of time to recharge with 38 days of holiday every year (including public holidays). The not-so-small print
This role will be a Grade 6. If you’re new to Scottish Water, you’ll join us on a starting salary of £36,410. Performance-driven pay progression would then allow you to move through the range to a maximum of £46,990. If you’re interested in this role – or know someone else who might be – we’ll be accepting applications until midnight on the 9th of December 2025.
Job offers at Scottish Water are conditional and will be confirmed on completion of our pre-employment screening, e.g. referencing, criminal record checks, licence checks, etc. Screening is conducted on our behalf by a third party and must be completed before your start date.
