Are you driven about progressing your career within the aquaculture industry? We have an exciting opportunity for a committed and proactive individual to join our Workboat crews in a Deckhand role. Our workboat teams provide vital support to our marine farms across our Shetland estate.

The Deckhand will assist with a variety of tasks such as:

  • Net washing
  • Moorings
  • Fish health treatments
  • Net changing
  • Feeding and supply distribution

The role requires a flexible approach to working hours and duties to meet operational needs. A proactive mindset, positive outlook, and willingness to take on new challenges are essential. You should understand the objectives of the crew and be ready to contribute effectively to achieving team targets. A strong commitment to health and safety standards is vital.

Schedule: 2 week on / 2 week off rota.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold, or be able to obtain and maintain, a valid ML5 or ENG1 medical certificate.
  • STCW certificate desirable.
  • Commitment to personal development and learning new skills.
