The Vacancy
Fixed term contract until 30 June 2027.
Are you a physiotherapist ready to make your mark in elite sport? We’re recruiting three Junior Pathway Physiotherapists to join our medical team, delivering hands‑on clinical care to female athletes at every stage of their journey.
Each role carries a primary squad assignment, but you’ll work as part of a connected pool covering the full breadth of the pathway, from pitch‑side match cover to national training camps. This is a rare opportunity to grow your career within a holistic, high‑performance environment, working alongside experienced physiotherapy leads and athletic performance colleagues to shape the next generation of talent.
What you will be doing:
- Delivering frontline clinical care: hands‑on treatment, injury prevention, and daily preparation support for athletes at training hubs and regional centres
- Providing match‑day and camp cover: pitch‑side clinical support for league fixtures, plus medical cover at U21 and U18 national training camps and international matches
- Supporting athlete progression: tracking and rehabilitating exile and pathway players in collaboration with their clubs, ensuring players return to camp physically prepared and meeting national standards
- Maintaining clinical excellence: keeping accurate, up‑to‑date records on the national Athlete Management System, and supporting IDP/APP reviews under the direction of physiotherapy and performance leads
What we’re looking for:
- A degree in Physiotherapy, current HCPC registration, and CSP membership, with 1–2 years' experience as a qualified physiotherapist
- Previous exposure to contact sport environments (rugby experience preferred), with pitch‑side trauma certification held or in progress
- Excellent interpersonal skills, comfortable building relationships with a variety of stakeholders
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, around match and camp schedules
