Scottish Rugby is seeking an experienced Head of Nutrition to drive strategy across the entire performance spectrum — from emerging talent in our Pathway Programmes to our Senior National Teams competing on the global stage. What you will be doing:
- Develop and deliver a Nutrition Strategy for athletes across pathway, academy, professional, and senior national teams.
- Lead and inspire a team of performance nutritionists, setting clear standards and fostering continual professional development.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues to deliver integrated, player-centric support.
- Drive alignment and consistency, ensuring nutrition support is tailored, measurable, and impactful – from training ground to international competition.
- Represent Scottish Rugby on national and international platforms, advocating best practice in performance nutrition.
What we're looking for:
- This role demands a bold leader with expertise in sport nutrition, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to translate science into action.
- You should be passionate about high performance, ready to guide and support others, and confident working in a fast-paced, elite sporting environment.
- Someone with a degree in Nutrition or Dietetics, and a postgraduate qualification in Sport or Exercise Science, or vice versa, and ISAK Level 1 accreditation (minimum).
- 5+ years’ experience in elite sport, ideally including rugby.
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities, ideally including budget management.
- Demonstrable success in programme development, implementation, and evaluation.
