This role leads performance analysis for the Scotland Women National Team, providing coaches and players with high-quality video, statistical, and opposition insights to support decision-making and development. It plays a key part in delivering analysis during training and matches, while also coordinating analysts, maintaining systems, and driving learning through engaging reporting and presentations. The role also helps create consistency across the wider women’s performance pathway by aligning standards, tracking player progress, and introducing innovative analysis methods and technologies.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead performance analysis delivery for the Scotland Women National Team, providing consistent support to coaches and players.
  • Produce video analysis, opposition previews, statistical reporting, and performance insights to inform planning, decision-making, and player development.
  • Take ownership of analysis during training camps and matches, including coordinating analysts, contractors, and students.
  • Align analysis standards, reporting, and key metrics across the wider women’s performance pathway and track identified players across competitions.
  • Manage analysis systems, software, and data while driving innovation through new methods, technologies, and AI-enabled approaches.

What we’re looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience as a performance analyst with at least 4 years’ experience, preferably including leadership of a programme.
  • Demonstratable competency with performance analysis software and hardware including: Hudl, Sportscode, Hudl Studio, Tableau/Power B/Microsoft Excel, Limit8 or other capture hardware, IP cameras.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Knowledge of rugby union.
  • Ability to work long hours during competition periods, travel internationally and adapt to changing schedules.
  • Track record of working to deadlines in a demanding and fast-moving environment.
