As Edinburgh Rugby's Head Physiotherapist, you will be the clinical heartbeat of our physiotherapy team, setting the gold standard for player care, driving evidence-based rehabilitation, and partnering with Athletic Performance colleagues to keep our squad performing at its best.

What you will be doing:
- Leading all pitch-side medical cover for training and match days, direct emergency care, and overseeing end-to-end rehabilitation using data-driven, evidence-informed RTP protocols.
- Leading and supporting a team of three physiotherapists, overseeing daily clinical operations, performance and CPD pathways.
- Working closely with the Edinburgh Rugby Head of Athletic Performance to align rehabilitation goals and S&C programming.
- Implementing proactive injury risk reduction strategies throughout the season and ensuring all medical data is accurately recorded to support injury surveillance and a unified approach to player welfare across Scottish Rugby.
What we’re looking for:
- A Chartered Physiotherapist (HCPC & CSP registered), with a postgraduate MSc in Sports Medicine is preferred.
- Valid Advanced Level 3 Pitch-side Trauma Certification and experience working in an elite high-performance sport.
- Proven track record of leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams, with advanced clinical reasoning and expertise in manual therapy and exercise prescription.
- Someone who can make decisive, evidence-informed calls under match day pressures.
