Scottish Rugby is looking for a talented and driven Communications Executive to champion our pathways and programmes, putting our next generation of talent on the national and international stage. If you thrive in a fast‑paced environment and know how to tell compelling stories, this is the role for you.
What you will be doing:
- Own all communications for the Pathways, from team announcements and match‑day coverage, to full tournament communications planning for male and female pathway teams.
- Plan and deliver proactive media activity including press conferences, PR events and media briefings, underpinned by an annual communications strategy.
- Act as a media advisor to players, coaches and management, providing guidance, training and support while also monitoring coverage and reporting insights.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues and commercial partners to deliver joined‑up communications, support partner activations, and contribute to the wider comms team operations.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience in a media, press office or communications role, ideally within high‑performance sport.
- Experience delivering communications plans for major events and competitions.
- Exceptional writing skills, combined with confidence as a public speaker and strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience of photography or content capture.
