We have a new opportunity for a Depute Principal Assessor in National 5 Administration & IT. The Depute Principal Assessor (DPA) role must be able to deputise for the PA in all aspects of the role if required. The DPA is a key role in the team and previous leadership experience of a team will be beneficial to the applicant.

This role attracts a responsibility fee, paid quarterly as well as a daily rate for duties undertaken in own time and release.

Dates required for 2026 are as follows:

  • Assignment Pre standardisation: Friday 20 March (at home)
  • Standardisation 1: Saturday 21 - Monday 23 March
  • Standardisation 2: Friday 27 - Sunday 29 March
  • Markers meeting: Wednesday 1 April followed by online support to the team until marking complete
  • Question Paper Standardisation: Thursday 14 - Monday 18 May
  • Markers meeting: Friday 22 May; online meeting followed by online support to the team until marking complete
  • Further procedural dates are Monday 15 June
  • Saturday 20 – Sunday 21 June

Interviews for successful applicants will be held via MS Teams on 10 or 11 February 2026. All successfully completed applications will be auto acknowledged.
