About The Role
The Social CareStrategy Lead provides strategic leadership, direction and oversight of SPSPolicy areas and interventions within the scope of social care and wellbeinginterventions which are designed to address identified risk and needs of therange of population groups within our care.
They willprovide expert knowledge and advice on adult social care, ensuring pathways aredeveloped that support the needs of those in our care and on transition in tothe community. They will have a key role in scoping current delivery and workwith key stakeholders leading Prison Social Care. The post will be supported bya project Policy manager. This post is fixed term and open to secondment,applicants are asked to ensure support from their host organisation.
The role holder willwork with other senior stakeholders across; Directorates, Establishments,Scottish Government and partner agencies in the collaborative development andimplementation of policy, practice and interventions designed to (1) maximiseopportunity for meaningful engagement and participation whilst individuals arein our care and (2) enhance and maximise their capacity for subsequentsuccessful reintegration into the community.
