The post holder will drive forward the effective delivery of a first-class HR service and identify areas for continuous improvement, working collaboratively with Trade Union Partners, first line managers and other key stakeholders.Responsibilities:Provision of a professional HR advice and support to line managers and staff on SPS’ HR policies and procedures across a broad range of case work such as absence, grievance and conduct cases, ensuring policy timescales are adhered toManagement and delivery of end-to-end internal recruitment campaigns, at relevant grades, and the provision of support to wider recruitment campaigns.Provision and interrogation of management information systems, ensuring effective processes are in place to record the required data, and the provision of accurate reporting for senior management.Contribution to the development of an effective HR service, across the SPS, through project involvement and collaborative working across the HR communityFirst line management of HR Administration staff within the HMP Stirling HR Team.Continuous development of personal knowledge and understanding of HR related issues, policies and legislation.Person SpecificationSPS recruitment and selection practice is based on the fundamentals of our Behavioural Competency Framework. EssentialExperience RequirementsKnowledge Skills RequirementsAppropriate range of experience working within an HR environment. Essential Competent and experienced in the use of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook and SharePoint, as effective business tools. Essential Experience of effective planning and management of confidential information, demonstrating ability to prioritise, forward plan, manage competing demands and work under pressure to ensure outputs are delivered within organisational timescales.
