The Scottish Prison Service (SPS) is currently recruiting permanent Plumbers to work within our prisons across Scotland. The Plumber will support the SPS Maintenance Team in all aspects of Estates work, delivering preventative and reactive maintenance activities on plumbing and fitting works, including but not limited to legionella controls, heating, and ventilation systems.
All of our Plumber roles are based on 35 hours per week worked across Monday to Friday, and we provide all tools and PPE. There will be a requirement for you to periodically work on call hours, and you may need to travel to other establishments and areas. For this reason, a full driving licence that enables the person to drive in the UK is preferred.

Applicant should have served a recognised apprenticeship in heating, plumbing or mechanical discipline to SVQ level 3. Successful candidates will be subject to pre-employment checks, which will include an Enhanced Disclosure Scotland check, References, DVLA licence check (where applicable) and Nationality checks as well as a Medical Assessment.
