We are seeking highly motivated and experienced Learning Technologists to contribute to the advancement of digital learning, teaching and assessment processes within the Scottish Prison Service. The successful applicant(s) will primarily focus upon the creation of new - and conversion of - our existing courses to online learning. One post will be located within the IT team in the SPSC and the additional role holder will primarily support the development of new learning products identified from the work undertaken in response to the recent Fatal Accident Inquires and associated recommendations.
Working closely with Learning and Development Managers, you will have excellent communication and customer-facing skills, producing high quality online teaching materials with particular focus on blended and distance learning models. You will provide expert advice to enhance the learner experience through the utilisation of learning technologies including Moodle/Totara VLE, and collaborative platforms such as Office365 and integrated Power Applications.
The successful candidate(s) will join a dynamic ICT team, with a focus on developing and implementing innovative digital strategies to enhance the learning experience of students through the effective integration of educational technologies, theory, and practice. The role will focus primarily on the creation of enhanced eLearning provision, improving digital literacy and the transition of vocational training to a blended learning model. This role is designed to support the organisational commitment to enhanced digital capabilities and data analysis to support continuous professional development in the Scottish Prison Service.
