An exciting opportunity has arisen within SPS Headquarters as we recruit for an Architect/Architectural Technician to join the Estates Team. The postholder shall provide Estates with in-house technical, design and CAD assistance, progressing a range of maintenance and development projects with design, detailing and specification input. Maintain and keep up to date digital record drawing information currently held and assist in developing and migration of Estates record information to searchable data and BIM models.
If you have the following, we would like to hear from you:
- Degree or HND/C in Architecture or Architectural Technology (equivalent or relevant significant experience working in the role)
- Design and Specification Expertise: Significant experience in detailing and specifying new build and maintenance projects (preferably Public Sector), with knowledge of Planning, Building Regulations, and RIBA stages.
- Digital Design and BIM Proficiency: Comprehensive knowledge and experience of AutoCAD and Revit, with working knowledge of BIM processes for construction and maintenance.
- IT and Visual Communication Skills: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; experience with Photoshop and InDesign is advantageous. Ability to prepare detailed written reports, presentations, and briefing notes.
- Collaboration and Organisational Ability: Proven ability to build and maintain relationships, negotiate and influence within multi-disciplinary teams. Excellent communication skills and organisational capability to prioritise, plan, and deliver outputs under pressure within budgets and timescales.
