About The Role
The Deputy Senior Portfolio Manager supports the Senior Portfolio Manager in leading the Portfolio Management Office (PMO) and delivering effective oversight of the organisations project portfolio.
The role requires sufficient authority,judgementand experience to progress portfolio activity independently within agreed parameters, while ensuring that strategic, high-risk,sensitiveor exceptional matters are referred to the Senior Portfolio Manager.
The postholder will deputise for the Senior Portfolio Manager when requested and will helpmaintaincontinuity,resilienceand consistent standards across the portfolio.
The Deputy Senior Portfolio Manager is expected to provide capable and reliable delivery leadership while preserving clear accountability. The role strengthens theresilience and capacity of the portfolio function byprogressing the majority of routine and complex activity,supported by theSenior Portfolio Managerwhere appropriate
This is a temporary post for a period of 12 months with the possibility of permanency subject to budgetary approval and job evaluation.
