Key Responsibilities - To develop and deliver comprehensive and effective communications for the Scottish Police Authority (SPA) to promote strategic priorities and core activities and build trust and confidence in policing across Scotland.
The Communications Specialist will be a trusted communications advisor who identifies and delivers appropriate solutions that demonstrate a measurable impact and desired effect. Ideally, for this role you will have an experience across a range of communications specialisms. You will be responsible for a variety of activities, including press releases, social media monitoring and posting, media relations, blogs and newsletters. You will ensure that there is a continuous and consistent pipeline, as well as working proactively to identify what adds value and engages the wider external audience.
As a Communications Specialist for the SPA, you will be working autonomously within a small team. Therefore, you must be a proactive individual who can manage priorities, take ownership of their own workload and meet any specified timescales. You will also be responsible for building relationships across the organisation, as well as with Police Scotland's Communication function. Why join us? Competitive salary
