Calum Kerr MSP is recruiting a full‑time Caseworker to join his constituency office, likely to be in Galashiels, with the possibility of some home working. This role involves supporting constituents with a wide range of issues and helping to ensure they receive effective representation and assistance. The successful candidate will work closely with the MSP and office team to manage casework, engage with local organisations, and support constituency priorities. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and progress constituency casework on behalf of constituents
- Respond to enquiries by email, phone, and in person in a professional and empathetic manner
- Liaise with local authorities, government agencies, charities, and community organisations
- Maintain accurate records within the case management system
- Identify emerging local issues
- Assist with constituency surgeries and events
- Ensure all work is handled confidentially and in line with data protection requirements
Essential Skills and Experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
