We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Private Client Solicitor with at least 3+ PQE to join one of the largest private client teams in the country, based in our Glasgow office.

Responsibilities

  • Deal with all aspects of Wills, trusts, estate planning (including IHT and CGT planning), executries, and supporting adults with incapacity matters.
  • Advising on inheritance tax and estate planning, including agricultural and business property reliefs.
  • Drafting trusts and complex Will provisions to meet clients’ bespoke needs.
  • Managing executry and trust administrations, including for taxable complex estates.
  • Delivering proactive and detailed advice to clients, particularly in relation to tax planning.

Qualifications

  • Have the STEP Diploma (preferred).
  • Draft and review documents with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong technical expertise in Wills, trusts, and complex estate administration.
  • Good understanding of the taxation of trusts.
  • Commercial mindset and confidence in collaborating with third parties and colleagues across the firm to deliver a comprehensive client service.
