Rutherford Sheridan Solicitors Glasgow is seeking a qualified solicitor to join our court team. The role is ideal for a solicitor with court experience in any area, who is keen to undertake family, crime, immigration, or children’s law, or a combination of these areas.

Responsibilities

  • Manage own case load across civil and criminal litigation, including both legal aid and private work.
  • Attend numerous Scottish courts and provide robust representation for clients.
  • Work collaboratively with directors, senior solicitors, and administrative staff for support and guidance.
  • Participate in annual reviews covering progress, wellbeing and salary.
  • Support the team’s specialist trauma‑informed training and child law accreditation initiatives.

Requirements

  • Qualified solicitor with a solid court background.
  • Experience in at least one of: family, crime, immigration, or children’s law is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently, organized, and demonstrate strong work ethic.
  • Good communication skills and a commitment to providing high‑quality client service.

Salary
