Overview

MDDUS Glasgow. Flexibility: Office focused with flexibility to work from home. Salary: Attractive and reflective of experience. Working hours: Monday to Friday, 7 hour days. Closing date: 15 February 2026. We reserve the right to close this advert earlier in the event we receive a large number of applicants.

Responsibilities

  • Providing legal services to members on civil claims, GMC/GDC investigations, MPTS hearings, FAIs, and general advice queries.
  • Settling claims within approved limits for damages and costs, with authority to delegate decisions to junior legal staff.
  • Collaborating with medical and dental advisors to support member services.
  • Assisting other departments, including contributing to publications, providing training to MDDUS staff and members, advising risk committees and actuaries, and helping develop protocols, policies, and initiatives as needed.
