Miller Samuel Hill Brown is seeking an exceptional Associate Solicitor/Senior Associate Solicitor (4+ years PQE) to join our highly regarded Employment Law Team.
About the Role
The Associate Solicitor/Senior Associate Solicitor will join a busy, high-quality employment law team and manage a full caseload of contentious and non-contentious employment matters. You will provide commercially-oriented advice to both employer and employee clients, lead and progress matters from instruction through to resolution or litigation, and contribute to the development and growth of the team and the wider firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment law
- Managing Employment Tribunal claims from instruction through to advocacy where appropriate
- Supporting clients with disciplinary, grievance, redundancy and restructuring matters
- Drafting and negotiating employment contracts, settlement agreements and HR policies
- Working collaboratively across the firm to provide integrated client service
- Ensuring compliance with the firm’s quality, risk and compliance policies, and maintaining accurate matter-management and billing records
- Contributing to business development, client training, thought leadership and marketing initiatives
- Supporting junior lawyers and trainees as the team continues to grow, contributing to team training and development
About You
- 4+ years of relevant PQE in employment law
- Proven track record of independently managing a caseload
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent client-facing skills
- A commercially minded, solution-focused approach to providing legal advice
