Fergusson Law is a small client‐focused firm, specialising in private client work, with an emphasis on executory administration, and residential conveyancing.

We are looking for one or two solicitors to join our team, preferably with previous experience of private client work and/or residential conveyancing, though we will consider solicitors who wish to change their area of law, and we offer a training pathway with either STEP or ATT to our staff.

These are full‐time posts (35 working hours per week), primarily office based, but we understand the importance of a good work/life balance, and are open to some flexibility and home working.

About The RoleAs a private client solicitor, you will manage a wide caseload of private client work, including the administration of deceased\’s estates, drawing up wills and powers of attorney, and providing advice on succession and inheritance tax issues.

As a conveyancing solicitor, you will manage a wide caseload of residential conveyancing work, covering the full process from offer acceptance to settlement, for both sale and purchase transactions, along with re‐mortgage, transfers of title and voluntary registrations.

There will be an opportunity for private client practitioners to gain experience in residential conveyancing and vice versa.

We pride ourselves on our client care. You will have a lot of direct contact with clients, and you will be expected to take responsibility for ensuring that clients allocated to you receive a professional service from us.
