Scottish Fire and Rescue Service Cambuslang – Permanent, full‑time (35 hours per week) – based at SFRS Headquarters, Westburn Drive, Cambuslang, G72 7NA. Hybrid working available, and the post holder has the opportunity to apply for flexible working hours.
Overview
Join the SFRS Legal Team to undertake commercial legal work with a focus on procurement, contracts, data protection, intellectual property and compliance. The role includes supervisory duties and deputising for the Legal Services Manager.
Responsibilities
- Provide commercial legal advice, especially in Procurement and Contracts.
- Draft commercial contracts, service level agreements and memoranda of understanding.
- Handle property and project related legal work.
- Supervise solicitors within the team and deputise for the Legal Services Manager.
- Assist in developing the in‑house legal function and support business as usual in governance, statutory duties, human rights and equalities.
Qualifications
- Substantial experience in Commercial Law (particularly Procurement and Contracts), Data Protection and FOISA.
- Minimum of 3 years post‑qualifying experience (exceptions may be considered with a proven track record).
