As an Accounts Administrator, you'll play an important role within the Financial Accounting Team, supporting a range of transactional accounting activities across the Group.

In this role you will

  • Review consignment and self-bill information, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing and resolving discrepancies where required.
  • Maintain effective accounting controls and procedures, ensuring financial data is accurate, complete, and compliant.
  • Manage data input, employee expenses, and general financial administration, taking ownership of accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Respond to accounting queries and provide professional, accurate information to colleagues, management, customers, and other stakeholders.

  • Identify discrepancies, irregularities, risks, and opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and increase efficiency.
  • Build effective working relationships across the business, meet strict deadlines, maintain high-quality standards, and support the wider Financial Accounting Team with ad hoc duties as required.

You’re someone who understands that excellent financial administration is about far more than processing transactions.

You take ownership of your work, pay close attention to detail, and understand that accurate and timely financial information is essential to the success of the wider business.

  • You have strong experience in Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger, ideally gained within a busy commercial, manufacturing, or fast-paced environment.
  • You have a good understanding of accounting processes, financial controls, and accurate record keeping; Cashbook experience would be an advantage.
  • You are highly numerate, organised, and detail focused, with a methodical approach and a commitment to delivering accurate work.
  • You are confident managing competing priorities, working under pressure, and consistently meeting strict deadlines without compromising quality.
  • You have a positive 'can do, will do' attitude, taking ownership of your responsibilities and following tasks through to completion.
  • You are confident using Microsoft Excel and able to quickly learn new systems and processes; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 would be beneficial.
  • You are a proactive self-starter who can identify discrepancies, risks, and opportunities for improvement while building trust through reliable delivery.
  • You are a collaborative and professional team player who builds effective relationships across the business and is committed to delivering a high‑quality financial administration service.

Your work will provide the foundations for reliable financial information, effective cash management, accurate customer and supplier records, and strong financial controls across the business.

By taking ownership of transactional accounting activities and maintaining high standards of accuracy, you'll help ensure invoices, payments, ledgers, cashbooks, and other financial information are processed correctly and on time.

Your attention to detail will also help identify discrepancies and potential risks early, supporting better decision making and protecting the financial integrity of the business.

Through your relationships with colleagues, management, auditors, customers, and other stakeholders, you'll provide a dependable point of support for accounting queries and financial administration.

Your ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively will help the wider business access accurate information and resolve issues efficiently.

You’ll also contribute to the continuous improvement of the Financial Accounting Team by identifying opportunities to streamline processes, strengthen controls, and improve the way financial information is managed.
