Great businesses don’t just inspect quality - they create cultures where quality drives every decision, every process, and every outcome. By embedding high standards into daily operations, they reduce waste, strengthen customer confidence, and enable consistent performance across the business. As a Quality Performance Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role at the centre of our manufacturing operation, combining your eye for detail, operational awareness, and passion for continuous improvement to ensure quality is built into everything we do.

In this role you will:

  • Provide visible, shop‑floor quality leadership, influencing teams to embed right first‑time behaviours and strong process discipline into daily operations.
  • Coach and support colleagues to understand and consistently apply quality standards, product specifications, and good manufacturing practices.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Technical, Quality, and Training teams to drive engagement, improve capability, and strengthen quality performance across the site.
  • Use data, observation, and feedback to identify quality risks, performance trends, and opportunities for improvement, reducing waste and rework.
  • Support investigations into quality concerns and non‑conformances, helping teams identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Contribute to training, new product introductions, trials, and process changes, ensuring teams are prepared and quality expectations are clearly understood.
  • Conduct audits, compliance checks, and on‑floor coaching to reinforce standards and encourage accountability at all levels.
  • Champion a culture where quality is instinctive, encouraging colleagues to take ownership and make quality‑focused decisions every day.

You’re someone who sees beyond inspection and compliance - you understand how strong quality performance drives operational success, protects customer relationships, and creates a culture of accountability and pride throughout manufacturing.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • You will have experience within a quality, manufacturing, or operational environment, ideally within leather, textiles, automotive, aviation, or similar industries.
  • You demonstrate a strong understanding of quality standards, process control, and product specifications.
  • You bring proven experience working collaboratively with operational teams to drive improvement and resolve issues effectively.
  • You possess strong communication, coaching, and influencing skills, with the ability to support colleagues at all levels.
  • You show effective problem‑solving capability, identifying root causes and implementing practical, sustainable solutions.
  • You are confident interpreting quality data and trends to identify risks, improvement opportunities, and performance gaps.
  • You bring strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
  • You have a proactive mindset, high attention to detail, strong IT skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.

The impact you will have:

You will be instrumental in strengthening the quality culture across the manufacturing site, ensuring quality standards are consistently understood, applied, and achieved. By working closely with operational teams on the shop floor, you will help prevent issues before they occur, improve right‑first‑time performance, and reduce waste, rework, and customer concerns. Your work will create stronger links between quality, operations, and technical teams, enabling more effective problem solving, greater process discipline, and improved manufacturing performance. You will also play a key role in driving continuous improvement, helping the business respond proactively to risks while maintaining the highest standards for customers. Through your contribution, you’ll help build a manufacturing environment where quality is not simply checked - it is embedded into our DNA, guiding every process, every decision, and every product we create.

What’s in it for you:

You’ll benefit from a comprehensive rewards package designed to support your wellbeing, financial security, and career development. This includes a company pension, life assurance, company sick pay, enhanced annual leave that increases with service, and access to a health and wellbeing programme alongside an Employee Assistance Programme with private GP services. You’ll also have opportunities to grow through coaching, training, and development support, plus practical perks such as cycle to work and electric vehicle schemes, free on‑site parking, and access to a range of retail discounts.

We believe our strength comes from our people. We value diversity, encourage development, and create an environment where everyone can thrive.
