Great businesses don't just provide technology – they create digital environments where people can work securely, efficiently, and with confidence. By combining reliable infrastructure, responsive support, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement, they enable their people to perform at their best while protecting the systems and data that keep the business moving.

As an EUC Engineer, you'll play a key role in maintaining and evolving our IT environment, ensuring colleagues have the technology, support, and services they need to succeed. Combining strong technical expertise with a customer-focused approach, you'll work across end-user computing, infrastructure, networking, cloud technologies, and cyber security to deliver resilient, secure, and high-performing IT services.

This is a hands-on role where you'll take ownership of technical challenges, collaborate across the Digital Technology team, and help shape the future of our technology landscape through continuous improvement and innovation.

In this role you will:

  • Deliver responsive 2nd and 3rd line support across a hybrid Windows and Apple environment, ensuring users receive an exceptional level of service with minimal disruption.
  • Build, configure, deploy, and support end-user devices while managing assets, support requests, and the full user lifecycle through our IT service management processes.
  • Support and maintain core infrastructure, including Microsoft Server environments, Active Directory, Azure Entra ID, virtualisation platforms, and cloud services to ensure reliability and availability.
  • Assist in the administration and monitoring of network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, VPNs, wireless technologies, backups, and system health to maintain a resilient IT environment.
  • Champion cyber security by supporting vulnerability management, patching, access controls, backup and recovery processes, and the implementation of security best practice across the organisation.
  • Contribute to IT and digital transformation projects, supporting system upgrades, migrations, new technology implementations, and the delivery of innovative business solutions.
  • Produce and maintain clear technical documentation while identifying opportunities to improve system performance, security, efficiency, and the overall user experience.
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and third-party partners, providing trusted technical guidance and promoting a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and excellent customer service.

You’re someone who combines strong technical expertise with a customer-focused approach. You enjoy solving problems, collaborating with others, and continuously improving systems to deliver secure, resilient, and reliable IT services.

You will have experience working within a broad IT support, infrastructure, or operations role, with a strong understanding of end-user computing and enterprise technologies. You demonstrate excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure Entra ID, and end-user device management. You have experience supporting infrastructure, networking, or cloud technologies, with exposure to platforms such as VMware, Cisco, Meraki, or Microsoft Azure. You possess a good understanding of cyber security principles, backup and recovery, vulnerability management, and access control. You are a logical and analytical problem solver, capable of diagnosing technical issues and delivering practical, sustainable solutions. You communicate confidently with both technical and non-technical colleagues, building strong relationships and delivering excellent customer service. You are organised, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards in a fast-paced environment. You have a proactive mindset, a passion for technology, and a desire to continuously develop your skills while contributing to the evolution of our IT landscape.

The impact you will have:

You will play a vital role in ensuring our technology services remain secure, resilient, and fit for the future. By supporting colleagues across the business, maintaining critical infrastructure, and strengthening our cyber security posture, you'll help create an IT environment that enables productivity, collaboration, and business continuity.

Working closely with the wider Digital Technology team and key business stakeholders, you'll contribute to projects that modernise our technology landscape, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the experience of every user. Your expertise will help reduce risk, increase reliability, and ensure technology continues to support the organisation's long-term ambitions.

Through your contribution, you'll help build a digital environment where technology isn't simply maintained - it's continually improved, securely managed, and used to empower our people, drive innovation, and support the future success of the business.

What’s in it for you:

You’ll benefit from a comprehensive rewards package designed to support your wellbeing, financial security, and career development. This includes a company pension, life assurance, company sick pay, enhanced annual leave that increases with service, and access to a health and wellbeing programme alongside an Employee Assistance Programme with private GP services. You’ll also have opportunities to grow through coaching, training, and development support, plus practical perks such as cycle to work and electric vehicle schemes, free on-site parking, and access to a range of retail discounts.

We believe our strength comes from our people. We value diversity, encourage development, and create an environment where everyone can thrive.

Ready to be part of the story? If you're passionate about technology, enjoy solving complex technical challenges, and want to play a key role in delivering secure, reliable, and forward-thinking IT services, we'd love to hear from you.

Brush Up on Your Technical Skills

For an IT consulting role, be ready to demonstrate your technical prowess. You might face questions on systems integration, cloud technologies, or even troubleshooting specific software. If you have experience with tools like AWS, Azure, or even specific programming languages, make sure you can talk about them fluently.

Showcase Your Problem-Solving Approach

IT consulting is all about solving problems for clients. Think about how you can illustrate your approach to a past challenge using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result). It's a great way to show how you tackle complex issues and come up with effective solutions.
