As a Colour Specialist, you’ll play a key role in ensuring colour and gloss standards consistently meet customer specifications. Combining your technical capability with a strong eye for detail, you’ll carry out both electronic and visual colour matching, measurement, and analysis to support high-quality outcomes. Your work will directly influence product quality, customer satisfaction, and operational performance.
In this role you will:
- Carry out accurate electronic and visual colour measurement of samples and hides
- Assess and measure gloss levels to ensure consistency with customer specifications
- Maintain and manage the colour master library to support production standards
- Carry out colour matching using RK coater and hand spray techniques
- Use datacolour equipment to electronically correct mixes and make visual adjustments where required
- Ensure customer requirements for colour and gloss are consistently achieved
- Work closely with finishing and final inspection teams to minimise downtime and maintain workflow
- Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives, taking a lean approach to processes and performance
