Senior Development Manager
Help lead SBHA’s affordable housing programme as Senior Development Manager. Shape great places across the Scottish Borders through bold development, strong partnerships and lasting impact.
Salary: c£61.5k to £68k per annum (pay award pending)
Hours and terms: Full-time Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
Closing Date: Thursday 1 October 2026, 5.00pm
What you’ll do
As Senior Development Manager, you will lead the pre-contract development lifecycle for new-build and major refurbishment projects. This includes feasibility, planning, funding and grant administration, procurement strategy, stakeholder engagement, risk management and programme governance. You will work closely with the Construction Manager to maintain strategic oversight of programme and financial performance.

What we’re looking for:
You will bring at least five years’ senior-level experience in affordable housing development, regeneration or a similar field, together with strong leadership, commercial, financial and analytical skills. You will be confident advising senior stakeholders, preparing clear reports for governance bodies and building effective relationships with tenants, communities, partners, consultants, contractors and funders.
