Are you ready to take an exciting opportunity and support the delivery of Scotland’s devolved taxes? You have the opportunity to be part of delivering excellent customer service within Revenue Scotland’s Tax Operations team.

You will support operational colleagues with a variety of administrative tasks, helping to ensure the department’s key performance indicators and objectives are achieved when dealing with such queries.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to make decisions on a variety of tasks, including issuing penalties, debt recovery, processing repayments and responding to mail queries.
  • Answer telephone queries from taxpayers, providing them with the necessary guidance to fulfil their tax obligations.

This role is based within Tax Operations, which is formed of six teams.

Apprenticeship Details

Revenue Scotland offers a great opportunity to develop your skills, gain practical experience and achieve a recognised qualification. We are currently inviting applications for Modern Apprenticeships within our Tax Operations Team, based in Edinburgh.

As a Modern Apprentice, you will be part of a supportive team and receive full training in all aspects of the role. You will also work closely with an assessor to gather evidence and prepare the materials needed for your qualification. Alongside on‑the‑job learning, you will receive ongoing support and development to help you succeed and progress your career with us.

During your first 12 months, you will work towards a relevant SVQ qualification. You’ll be supported by an internal assessor who will meet with you monthly, and you’ll be given dedicated time to complete all qualification requirements.
