Job description: Do you want to help improve the working lives of the health and social care workforce in Scotland? This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to workforce experience, contributing to a programme of wellbeing initiatives and strengthening our understanding of what working life is really like in practice.
You will support the use of evidence and insight to inform decisions and help shape practical improvements. Working within a supportive team, you will take ownership of key areas of work, contributing to delivery and helping to drive positive change across health and social care.
You will lead on work to improve physical working conditions and the psychological wellbeing of staff. This will involve working collaboratively with colleagues and partners, coordinating activity, and ensuring work progresses effectively to meet shared priorities.
You will gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment with high levels of ministerial, parliamentary and media interest, briefing ministers and developing evidence-based advice to support decision making. The work is varied and often evolves quickly, so flexibility and resilience are essential.
You will be supported to manage competing priorities and deliver at pace, including contributing to priority work across the wider unit, division and directorate as required. This is an excellent opportunity to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, communicating clearly and working collaboratively to achieve shared outcomes.
You will develop your ability to influence, work to ministers, and contribute to a culture where wellbeing sits at the heart of staff experience.
