Have you ever thought you’d make a great Professional Carer, but were put off because you don’t have qualifications or care experience? Well, think again. When it comes to experience, you probably have the best kind already: life experience. Life’s given you qualities like patience, good humour, and compassion. You care about people and are there for them in tough times. Don’t worry, we’re not looking for saints, just kind people available for regular weekend and evening work. If you can tick those boxes, our care jobs might be a good fit for you.
We’re recruiting in North Berwick, Dunbar, Gullane, Aberlady, Haddington, Tranent, Wallyford, Musselburgh, and surrounding areas. It’s secure work. We’ll train you fully, and there’s a bright future ahead.
What’s it all about? As people age, their needs can become more challenging. Our Carers visit clients in their homes, helping with daily activities like getting up, washing, dressing, grocery shopping, preparing hot meals, and keeping the home tidy and safe. But what truly makes a difference is the human connection—bringing reassurance, companionship, and some fun. Some clients may be going through tough times, and you’ll be there to support them—sometimes on the receiving end of their emotions, but always with compassion.
Thinking you’re suited for care? We’re stronger together. CERA isn’t just about service; it’s about community. You’ll work alongside people who support each other through good times and challenges. You’ll receive industry-recognised training for the Care Certificate, shadow experienced colleagues, and have access to support from branch teams and care specialists. Our technology helps you focus on care, not paperwork. We offer competitive pay, staff benefits, and genuine opportunities for promotion to team leader, care specialist, or management roles.
- This job can be part-time or full-time.
- Overtime opportunities are often available but voluntary.
- No care experience is necessary, but you must be at least 18 years old.
- You’ll receive a mobile phone with the CERA app for safe and efficient work.
Some of our other benefits include:
- Cera Mobility Scheme with discounts on car insurance, driving lessons, and more.
- Access to WeCare platform with discounts and cashback offers.
- Blue Light Card eligibility.
- Uncapped £500 refer-a-friend scheme.
- Employee assistance programs, mental health hotline, healthcare cash plan, eyecare, and wellbeing support.
- Support services for those affected by Menopause and Peri-Menopause, as we are a Menopause Friendly Employer.
