National Standardised Assessments Training Officer (0.8 FTE)

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of the Education Directorate, in a varied and interesting post.

The Equality and Data for Improvement Unit is part of the Workforce, Quality and Wellbeing Division. This post sits in the team responsible for delivering the National Standardised Assessments for Scotland (NSA), which support teachers’ professional judgements on learners’ progress in literacy and numeracy.

The NSA Training Officer will work closely with the NSA Content Manager (C1) and other team members to ensure that training provision meets the needs of schools, local authorities, and internal colleagues. The role will involve designing and delivering training sessions (both online and in-person), creating user guidance and support materials, and evaluating training effectiveness.

The postholder will have no direct line management responsibilities but will play a key role in supporting the NSA service desk and liaising with Education Scotland and other stakeholders to ensure training aligns with policy priorities and user needs.

A background in Scottish Education would be beneficial for this role.
