This role offers the chance to join a friendly and supportive team in a high-profile role that offers excellent development prospects. This post will work at the heart of the Scottish Government’s approach to energy within the Strategic Energy Projects team in the Energy Strategy and Markets Unit, which is part of the Energy and Climate Change Directorate. The post will report to the C1 Head of Strategic Energy Projects.

Key to this role will be developing an understanding of the energy priorities of the Scottish Government and maintaining awareness of emerging policy issues, particularly by monitoring energy related activity in the Scottish Parliament and developing a good network of contacts across Scottish Government.

This is a changeable environment, where each week is different and varies in line with external developments. You will be required to work flexibly as needs arise and may move from one project to another as priorities evolve.
