This is a 6-9 month fixed-term opportunity to support the foundational phase of Scottish Friendly’s Customer Experience (CX) transformation programme. Reporting into the L&D Manager, the L&D Consultant will be responsible for designing and developing digital learning content and pathways for key Wealth processes within our Life and Wealth Team. This role will focus on creating baseline learning content for high-volume, low-complexity processes, enabling the business to assess current capability and prepare for future transformation. The successful candidate will work closely with SMEs, stakeholders, and the L&D team to ensure content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with our long-term goals.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and develop digital learning pathways using Articulate for identified Wealth processes.
- Conduct observations, desktop reviews, and interviews to inform content development.
- Create modular, interactive learning content that includes assessments and quizzes.
- Establish and manage a content review and sign-off process with SMEs and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with QA and back-office teams to ensure accuracy and relevance of materials.
- Maintain and update the L&D Review Schedule with content ownership details.
- Pilot learning modules and gather feedback to inform continuous improvement.
- Upskill two L&D Trainers on developed content and progress.
- Provide weekly progress updates to the L&D Manager and attend relevant meetings.
- Ensure all learning is digital-first unless face-to-face delivery is specifically required.

- Proven experience in digital learning design and development.
- Proficiency with Articulate 360.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Experience in modular content development and digital learning strategies.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Understanding of effective teaching methodologies and tools.
- Experience working in a regulated environment.
