Join a small team making a big impact at Scottish Friendly, where we're looking for a talented and versatile Graphic Designer to join our Marketing team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced designer who loves bringing ideas to life across print, digital, motion and brand communications.

You'll play a key role in shaping creative campaigns, developing engaging customer communications, and helping evolve our brand as we continue to grow. Working directly with our Creative Design Manager, you'll be part of a small but ambitious creative team where your ideas will be heard, your creativity will be valued, and your work will have a real impact.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Developing creative concepts for a brand campaign.
  • Producing engaging social content.
  • Designing customer communications.
  • Creating high-quality corporate reports and presentations.
  • Creating compelling creative concepts and designs across print, digital and motion.
  • Developing campaign assets for a wide range of channels, including social media, digital advertising, print and out-of-home activity.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across Marketing, Product and Customer Experience to bring ideas to life.
  • Working on projects from initial brief through to final delivery.
  • Helping maintain and evolve Scottish Friendly's visual identity and brand standards.
  • Producing high-quality internal and external communications that engage and inspire audiences.
  • Exploring new creative trends, technologies and ways of working to keep our creative output fresh and effective.

What we’re looking for:

  • Creative thinkers who combine strong design skills with commercial awareness and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences.
  • Experience in an agency or in-house creative design role.
  • A degree in Graphic Design or a related discipline.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating work across print, digital and motion.
  • Experience creating consumer-focused campaigns within a B2C environment.
  • Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills, particularly After Effects, InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Knowledge of Figma or similar design platforms.
  • Excellent typography, layout and conceptual design skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • The confidence to manage multiple projects and work independently.
  • A collaborative approach and a keen eye for detail.

Experience within financial services or other regulated sectors is preferred.
