About the role

The Claims Processor is responsible for managing customer claims, delivering an accurate, timely, and focused claims handling service across Scottish Friendly's life, savings, and protection products. The role ensures all claims are assessed in line with policy terms, regulatory requirements, and internal service standards while providing a supportive and compassionate experience to customers. Candidates must have experience in life insurance, claims processing, or financial services administration.

Key responsibilities

  • Review, validate, and process a range of claims (e.g., death, maturity, surrenders) in accordance with policy conditions and business rules.
  • Obtain and assess all required documentation, ensuring completeness and authenticity.
  • Calculate claim values accurately using prescribed systems and tools.
  • Ensure claims are completed in a timely manner and within the agreed SLA.
  • Develop strong product knowledge with the ability to interpret and understand product specifications and Terms & Conditions.
