We are seeking an experienced and Digital Content Specialist to drive the content vision, development, and optimisation across our website, mobile app, and associated digital platforms. This role blends content strategy, support of brand leadership, and digital performance, ensuring all content is engaging, compliant, and aligned to customer needs and business goals.
You will own the digital content roadmap, collaborating cross-functionally with teams such as Compliance, Investments, Product, Sales & Retention, and PR & Comms to deliver impactful content experiences that support acquisition, engagement, and retention. You will also maintain accurate, current and user-focused content on our website and app platforms.
Responsibilities:
Content strategy ownership and supporting brand leadership:

  • Own and deliver the digital content strategy across website, app, email, and provide assets for social platforms to support brand positioning, customer experience, and performance marketing goals.
  • Ensure consistent use of brand voice, tone, style, and visual identity across all digital assets and web and app platforms by adhering to brand guidelines and engaging with the Creative Design Manager.
  • Manage the long-term content roadmap and day-to-day content calendar, supporting marketing campaigns, product launches, and key lifecycle journeys.
  • Collaborate with Product and Marketing and Retention teams to create content that enhances feature adoption and supports customer onboarding and education.
  • Champion innovation in content formats, including interactive tools, AI-assisted writing, or modular content for personalisation.

Content management and execution:
  • Lead the creation, curation, editing, and publishing of content assets, including:
    • Website and app copy
    • Campaign landing pages
    • Email journeys (e.g., newsletters, triggered communications)
    • App store listings, release notes, and promotional copy
    • Feature guides, explainer videos, and interactive experiences
    • Social media assets and creative briefs
  • Oversee the website and app CMS, ensuring pages are accurate, compliant, optimised, and accessible (WCAG, Web Content Accessibility Guidelines).
  • Manage content workflows end to end, from stakeholder briefings through to approvals and publishing.

Governance, compliance and risk:
  • Ensure all content complies with FCA regulations and internal governance frameworks.
  • Conduct regular audits to maintain quality, accuracy, and relevance.
  • Liaise with Compliance teams to streamline content reviews and mitigate risk.

Optimisation, analytics and performance:
  • Apply on-page SEO best practices and content structuring to maximise search visibility and organic traffic.
  • Use tools such as Google Analytics, Hotjar, and app analytics platforms to monitor engagement and effectiveness.
  • Lead A/B and multivariate testing of content to improve conversion rates, click-throughs, and user engagement.
  • Use insights from data, user behaviour, and feedback to optimise performance and guide future content strategy.

Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management:
  • Partner with teams across Marketing, PR & Comms, Compliance, Product, Digital, and Customer Retention.
  • Act as a bridge between creative, commercial, and technical teams, ensuring efficient delivery of high-quality content.
  • Contribute to product marketing strategies, content for feature launches and customer communications.
  • Conduct content testing and quality assurance to ensure consistency and compliance across platforms.

Qualifications & Skills:
Essential:
  • Degree or professional certification in Marketing, Digital Customer Experience, or a related field.
  • Background in a regulated sector (financial services, insurance, healthcare).
  • Proven experience in digital content management and marketing within a strategic or commercially accountable role.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with strong attention to brand voice and regulatory accuracy.
  • Skilled in CMS tools and familiar with SEO, accessibility, and performance measurement tools.
  • Strong understanding of FCA regulatory expectations and experience managing content compliance workflows.
  • Exceptional project management and multitasking abilities, with a structured and proactive mindset.
  • Experience using content data and analytics to inform decision-making and measure ROI.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills in multi-stakeholder environments.

Desirable:
  • Experience working with personalisation engines, CMS, or modular content platforms.
  • Familiarity with tools like Hotjar, Google Analytics and app performance tools.
  • Working knowledge of UX principles, customer journey mapping, and CRO.
  • Management of any freelance agency support.
