In order to check your myjobscotland account is live and you will have no issues applying for the role of Wholetime Firefighter we have introduced this Application Account Test; this will ensure that you are able to apply for the role when the application open on the 14 th August 2025.
Please complete the basic details and submit your form, you will receive a confirmation email once your account test has been submitted. Please be aware this is not an application for the role of Wholetime Firefighter, this will only ensure your account is active to apply for the role when the Vacancy goes live.
This may not apply to all applicants, only those who have not accessed their myjobscotland account for a number of years. Should you receive an error message \"Account Issue 1\", firstly, try clearing your browser cache (CTRL+F5 on a PC) as this could be a temporary problem. If the error persists, it is likely your account has been archived as per the myjobscotland privacy terms and conditions .
How do I fix an account issue 1 error?
To resolve the problem with your account, you will need to contact the myjobscotland team. Do this by emailing myjobscotland@cosla.gov.uk the following:

- You must include the email address linked to your myjobscotland account
While the team do try to respond to all emails within one working day (support hours are Monday-Friday 9-5), during busy periods it may take longer.

What does archived mean?
If you have not submitted an application in line with the myjobscotland privacy policy (5 years for unsuccessful applications and 7 years where you had been hired) your account will automatically archive - these means the data is permanently deleted.
