Hours: 35 hours per week

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service would like to invite applications for the post of Resource Centre Operative, based at West Asset Resource Centre, Westburn Farm Road, Cambuslang, G72 7UB on a permanent basis. This is a full time post however applications from individuals seeking to work on a part time or job share basis would be considered.

The successful candidate will be required to assist in the day to day running of the stores and logistics services within the Asset Management Department.

Previous experience of working in a busy stores environment is essential, as is good numeracy skills, English and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel packages.

Applicants are required to have the ability to follow instruction and work unsupervised. They must also have excellent planning and organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.

Salary on appointment will normally be at the lower salary point, with progression subject to regular review – in line with the SFRS performance appraisal arrangements. A higher salary placing will be considered in exceptional circumstances subject to experience demonstrated.
