Asset Quality Manager
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service would like to invite applications for the post of Asset Quality Manager based at SFRS Headquarters, Cambuslang, Finance and Contractual Services. The post will align with the current SFRS agile framework. This is a full time opportunity, working 35 hours per week on a permanent basis however applications from individuals seeking to work on a part time, job share or flexible working basis would be considered.
This role will provide managerial assistance to the Asset Governance and Performance Manager in the development and implementation of Asset Management strategies for all sections within the Asset Management Service including the development and implementation of an overarching ISO 55001 Asset Quality Management framework. This is an overarching role that will work across all sections within Asset Management, Property, Fleet and Equipment. This includes ensuring the delivery of a high quality professional service that maximises the resources available and delivers positive outcomes to support the delivery of the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service strategic objectives.
The post holder will also manage the development of meaningful performance indicators, so as to establish where improvements can be made, across all areas of the Asset Management section\’s activities and for the co-ordination of systems development to ensure the production of Quality Assured data for appropriate analysis and interrogation. In addition, the post holder will manage the development and delivery of Asset Management development projects and programmes of work, and Asset strategy development ensuring the ongoing development of the Asset Management service.
In this role, the post holder will contribute to the preparation of regular and bespoke reports for internal and external stakeholders, including the Strategic Leadership Team (SLT), the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) Board and its sub-committees. The post holder will further manage an Asset Quality Co-ordinator and a Quality Systems and Performance Officer.

Salary on appointment will normally be at the lower salary point, with progression subject to regular review – in line with the SFRS performance appraisal arrangements. A higher salary placing will be considered in exceptional circumstances subject to experience demonstrated.
This post is also subject to the provision of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exemptions) Scotland Order 2013. Therefore, the successful candidate\’s will be subject to a Standard Disclosure record check through Disclosure Scotland.
