We are a charitable community-controlled housing association owning and managing approximately 2,250 houses for social rent, providing a factoring service for approximately 750 owners and manage just over 250 properties through our subsidiary Southside Lettings for Mid-Market. We also have an extensive development programme to build new homes.
The post holder will have a high level of knowledge and ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory, legislative, and compliance requirements and best practice including the monitoring and management of, but not restricted to issues relating to CDM 2015, gas safety, asbestos management, water safety, lift safety, electrical safety and reported cases of damp and mould. It is expected that the officer will have a strong technical understanding of these issues.
A specific role of the post holder will be to provide leadership and supervision to the Service Contracts Assistant as well as overseeing activities, manage services and service delivery on time, within budget and to expected standards. It is expected that where required the role will be to implement or propose changes or improvements within the Service Contracts Team.
In today’s environment, the ability to work in a changing environment with competing pressures is necessary and the successful candidate will be a team player with a “can do” attitude and the desire to learn new things while ensuring that our customers receive the best possible service. This is an excellent opportunity for the right person, to develop their skills in inspection and contract management while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
A competence in using IT packages will be required. The successful candidate will hold a valid driver’s licence and should have access to a vehicle for work use. The Association is an equal opportunities employer.
