Overview
PSL Housing Officer – Edinburgh area
Employer: Link Group (C~urb PSL, part of Link Group).
Salary: £40,107 - £45,927 per annum (dependent on skills and experience).
Contract: Permanent. 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Thursday 8:30am–5:00pm; Friday 8:30am–4:00pm. Potential late working to 7:30pm on a rota basis. Based at Link’s Edinburgh Office due to business requirements with Edinburgh Council.

What you will do:
- Deliver a professional tenancy management service to customers as an Edinburgh-based Housing Officer.
- Reporting to the Tenancy Services Supervisor, duties include tenancy sign-ups, regular visits, signposting for support or money advice, making housing benefit claims and handling arrears, reporting repairs, managing tenancy breaches, and bringing tenancies to an end.
- The role sits within a wider team of Housing Officers in the Private Sector Leasing (PSL) Service for the City of Edinburgh Council.
- Properties are leased from private landlords to the Council to house households facing homelessness on a Short Scottish Secure Tenancy as intermediate temporary accommodation.
About you:
- SCQF Level 6 qualification or equivalent housing/lettings experience (ideally).
- Self-motivated, able to work as a lone worker and as part of a team; strong customer service focus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; strong organisational, attention to detail, adaptability, problem solving and time management skills.
- Aware of housing benefit and wider welfare benefit issues; training provided.
- Experience of following procedures and using IT packages.
- Full driving licence and access to a car for work.
