Lanarkshire Housing Association (LHA) is a Registered Social Landlord and Scottish charity based in Motherwell, and we are seeking applications to fill a number of voluntary Management Committee vacancies from individuals with an interest in contributing to the work of the Association. As a committee member, you will have the opportunity to help shape the future of services for our tenants and contribute to the development of the services we provide to the wider community.
In this role, you will be part of the team responsible for the overall strategic direction of the organisation, as well as providing oversight of financial management and corporate governance. LHA provides good-quality affordable homes for people in housing need and currently manages over 900 properties across Lanarkshire. Supporting people to achieve a better future is at the heart of everything we do and we deliver this in partnership with Local Authorities, the Scottish Government, our tenants, customers, and other key stakeholders.
We are award winning having recently won the Share award as Digital Learning Organisation of the Year, and were shortlisted for Share’s Governing Body of the Year Award offering you the opportunity to contribute to a high performing and recognised team. We have launched a new 5 Year Strategic Plan for 2026-2031 which is being implemented through the Management Committee. We are seeking enthusiastic and committed individuals who are passionate about improving communities to join our Management Committee as we enter this next phase.

Responsibilities
- Prepare for, attend and actively contribute to a minimum of six evening Management Committee Meetings per year.
- Take part in training sessions and participate in additional Sub Committees.
- Receive training and ongoing support, with reasonable out-of-pocket expenses re‑imbursed.
Qualifications
- Experience in housing or property maintenance.
- Finance, law or corporate governance experience.
- Experience as a tenant or community champion.
- Passion for improving communities.
