The Performance Analyst supports the development and readiness of Match Officials by delivering high-quality video, data and performance analysis. Through structured evaluation, tailored insights, and close collaboration with coaching and technical staff, the role contributes to informed decision-making, continuous improvement and plays a key role in driving the ongoing preparation, development, learning and performance progression of Match Officials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate Match Official performance using a combination of match recordings, training material and structured feedback to inform development planning.
  • Produce tailored analytical resources to support Match Official readiness ahead of fixtures and key events.
  • Integrate video and performance data into coaching conversations to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Deliver in-depth analytical projects over extended periods, identifying patterns, progress markers and areas for improvement.
  • Support technical members of Referee Operations with analysis tasks, reporting and project delivery.
  • Build, update, and manage performance records and datasets to enable monitoring, comparison, and benchmarking.
  • Contribute to training environments, workshops and review sessions as required.
  • Assist with live and on-site activities through the effective deployment of current performance and analysis technologies.
  • To undertake all other duties as directed by the Deputy Head of Refereeing.

Please note: this role will require 35 hours per week to be worked flexibly, Monday to Sunday.
