The salary band for this post is Band E, £36,906.00 to £40,772.00, starting salary will be on the base of the salary scale, £36,906.00 We are looking for a full time Freshwater Ecologist on a permanent basis. As an Ecologist for the North Science Support Centre within the Ecology Assessment Unit your role will include: Contributing to our freshwater field survey programme for rivers and lochs. Analysis of macroinvertebrate samples. Working with regulatory colleagues on enforcement issues and investigating pollution events. Responding to planning consultations and ecological advice. Respect for your expertise This is a highly important role within our Data Evidence & Innovation portfolio. The post has been created to allow our Ecologist to deliver for the North Science Support Centre team which means you’ll need… A degree in a relevant biological discipline. Two years relevant experience after qualification. A valid licence to drive in the UK.
