Responsibilities

  • Progressing complex regulation and enforcement under Reservoirs (Scotland) Act 2011
  • Continue the momentum of the enforcement campaign to drive up compliance and reservoir safety
  • Improving cost recovery in relation to Reservoirs (Scotland) Act 2011
  • Working with SEPA Transformation Programme to improve processes and gain efficiencies e.g. on compliance.
  • Leading and delivering on individual projects.

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience or qualification equivalent to a Degree / SCQF Level 8-10
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge of enforcement and/or environmental regulation
  • Ability to analyse and interpret enforcement legislation, data or stakeholder requirements and translate business requirements to inform policy, strategy or approach
  • Ability to provide authoritative advice and guide others on the resolution of complex issues and proven analytical problem‑solving capability
  • Ability to resolve a wide range of challenging stakeholder situations in a professional manner
  • Full, clean, UK Drivers Licence
